Question 1

What is Ultimate Auction and what products does it offer?

Accepted Answer

Ultimate Auction, available at getultimateauction.com and developed by Inception Software LLP, is a suite of WordPress-based auction software products designed to help businesses and entrepreneurs launch professional online auction websites. It offers three core products: (1) Online Auction Software — a full-stack solution that builds a complete auction marketplace from scratch using pre-built templates, ideal for general merchandise or multi-category auction sites; (2) Car Auction Software — a specialized vehicle auction platform with car-specific fields, advanced search, filtering, saved search profiles, and an offline deal coordination system for buyers and sellers; and (3) Auction Plugin (Ultimate WooCommerce Auction PRO) — a WooCommerce add-on that adds auction functionality to any existing WordPress website without requiring a site rebuild. All three products are built on WordPress and WooCommerce, making them beginner-friendly, extensible, and compatible with thousands of third-party plugins.

Question 2

What is the difference between the Online Auction Software, Car Auction Software, and the Auction Plugin?

Accepted Answer

The three Ultimate Auction products serve distinct use cases. The Online Auction Software builds your entire auction website from zero — homepage, listing pages, and product detail pages — using ready-made templates. It is best for anyone starting a new auction business with no existing website. The Car Auction Software is purpose-built for vehicle auctions and includes pre-defined car fields (make, model, year, mileage, VIN, and more), advanced search with filtering, saved search profiles, vehicle-specific listing layouts, and an offline coordination system for buyers and sellers to arrange car handover and payment. The Auction Plugin is designed for existing WordPress website owners who want to add auction listings alongside their current products or content without rebuilding their site — it integrates directly with WooCommerce and works with any existing WordPress theme.

Question 3

Do I need technical skills to set up an auction website with Ultimate Auction?

Accepted Answer

No advanced technical skills are required. Ultimate Auction is built on WordPress, the world's most beginner-friendly website platform. The Online Auction Software and Car Auction Software include pre-built page templates so your auction site can be ready in minutes after installation. To get started, you need a domain name and web hosting account (Bluehost is recommended), and after purchasing, the Ultimate Auction support team can assist with installation. The Auction Plugin installs like any standard WordPress plugin via the dashboard under Plugins → Add New → Upload File. Minimum server requirements for the plugin are PHP 7.2 or above, MySQL 5.6 or above, and the latest version of WooCommerce. The support team also provides detailed user guides, a video library, and one-on-one assistance to guide new users through the entire setup process.

Question 4

What payment gateways does Ultimate Auction support?

Accepted Answer

Because Ultimate Auction is built on WooCommerce, it supports 50+ payment gateways out of the box, including PayPal, Stripe, Square, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, PayFast, and many more. Higher-tier plans unlock advanced payment automation: the Business plan enables automatic credit card debiting via Stripe when an auction ends, along with Buyer's Premium and Bidding Fees configuration. The All Access plan adds automatic debit via Braintree, Square, and Paystack; credit card hold (pre-authorization) via Stripe and Braintree; automatic debit via PayPal Braintree; and Buyer's Premium for Buy Now purchases. These payment hold and auto-debit features significantly reduce non-paying winners by charging the winning bidder's card automatically the moment an auction closes.

Question 5

Does Ultimate Auction support proxy bidding and anti-sniping (soft-close)?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Ultimate Auction supports both proxy bidding and anti-sniping (soft-close) on Business and All Access plans. Proxy bidding allows a buyer to set a maximum bid amount, and the system automatically places the lowest necessary bid on their behalf to keep them in the lead — without them having to return to the auction manually. The platform only bids up to their preset maximum. Anti-sniping, also called soft-close, is a fairness feature that automatically extends the auction countdown timer if a bid is placed in the final moments of an auction. The extension time window is configurable by the site administrator. This prevents last-second bid sniping and gives all participants a fair and equal opportunity to respond, resulting in more competitive and legitimate auction outcomes.

Question 6

Can sellers post their own auction listings on my site, and can I earn commissions from them?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Ultimate Auction supports a full seller marketplace model across its products. The Online Auction Software All Access plan includes a Seller Module with a front-end seller dashboard. Site owners can enable seller registration so users can sign up as buyers and sellers, list their own auction products, and receive commission payments automatically sent to their bank accounts via Stripe. For the Auction Plugin, seller listing functionality is available on Business and All Access plans through integration with WCFM Marketplace, one of the most popular WordPress multi-vendor plugins. The Car Auction Software Business and All Access plans include seller registration, a seller dashboard with Stripe-powered bank account connections, and an offline deal facilitation feature that lets the site owner earn a buyer's commission while buyers and sellers coordinate car handover and payment privately.

Question 7

How does Ultimate Auction pricing work, and is there a lifetime license option?

Accepted Answer

Ultimate Auction offers both annual and lifetime licensing across all three products, each available in three tiers: Starter, Business, and All Access. For the Auction Plugin: annual plans are $79/yr (Starter, 1 site), $99/yr (Business, 3 sites), and $149/yr (All Access, unlimited sites); lifetime plans are $249, $299, and $399 respectively. For the Online Auction Software: annual plans are $149/yr (Starter, 1 site), $299/yr (Business, 3 sites), and $499/yr (All Access, unlimited sites); lifetime plans are $699, $999, and $1,799. For the Car Auction Software: annual plans are $299/yr (Starter, 1 site), $399/yr (Business, 3 sites), and $499/yr (All Access, unlimited sites); lifetime plans are $699, $999, and $1,799. All plans include support and updates for the license duration. Lifetime licenses cover at least 4 to 5 years of support and updates. License upgrades are also possible by paying the price difference — contact the support team with your purchase details to arrange an upgrade.

Question 8

Is there a free trial or a money-back guarantee for Ultimate Auction?

Accepted Answer

Ultimate Auction offers a 14-Day Money Back Guarantee with no questions asked on all paid plans. If the software does not meet your needs within 14 days of purchase, you can request a full refund. While there is no time-limited free trial, live demo environments are available for all three products so you can fully explore the software before purchasing. The Online Auction Software demo is at demo.getultimateauction.com, the Car Auction Software demo is at vehicle-demo.getultimateauction.com, and the Auction Plugin demo is at testdrive.auctionplugin.net.

Question 9

Can Ultimate Auction support multiple languages for an international auction audience?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Ultimate Auction is translation-ready and fully compatible with WPML (the leading WordPress multilingual plugin), as well as LocoTranslate and My WP Translate. Using these tools, you can translate your entire auction website — including product listings, the bidding interface, email notifications, navigation menus, and the checkout process — into any language needed to serve a global audience. The All Access plan of the Auction Plugin also supports currency switching via the Aelia Currency Switcher, allowing bidders and buyers to view prices and place bids in their local currency. These localization features make Ultimate Auction a capable choice for running international auction platforms that serve buyers and sellers across multiple countries.

Question 10

Is there a limit on how many auction products or listings I can create with Ultimate Auction?

Accepted Answer

No. Ultimate Auction does not impose any restriction on the number of auction products or active listings you can create. You can list and run as many auctions as your business requires. For large catalogs or high-traffic auction sites, the team recommends using a dedicated server rather than shared or VPS hosting to ensure your site can handle high volumes of simultaneous bids without performance issues. The All Access plan also includes a Bulk Upload feature via CSV and XLS import, allowing you to add hundreds of auction products at once without manual entry — making it ideal for high-volume auction businesses.

Question 11

What notification options does Ultimate Auction provide for bidders, sellers, and auction winners?

Accepted Answer

Ultimate Auction provides a comprehensive multi-channel notification system. All plans include core email notifications covering: bid placed, bid won, payment confirmation, registration confirmation, user registration approval and rejection, and lost password recovery. Business and All Access plans unlock additional email alerts for outbid events, ending-soon reminders, payment reminders, and user comment notifications. For SMS notifications, integration with Twilio sends automated outbid alerts, auction-won confirmations, and ending-soon reminders as text messages directly to buyers' phones. The All Access plan adds WhatsApp notifications via Twilio WhatsApp, covering the same outbid, auction-won, and ending-soon triggers — reaching bidders on the world's most widely used messaging platform. This layered notification system keeps buyers engaged, reduces abandoned wins, and prompts timely payment automatically.

Question 12

Can a bidder pay for multiple auction wins in a single checkout on Ultimate Auction?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When using the Timed Auction Event feature in the Online Auction Software, the platform automatically generates a single consolidated order for each user that combines the winning amounts from every lot they win within that auction event. This means a bidder who wins multiple items in the same event only needs to complete one checkout, rather than paying separately for each item. This significantly improves the buyer experience and reduces payment drop-off, since winners are far less likely to abandon payment when the process is streamlined into a single, simple transaction.
